We interrupt that afghan …. Episode 6

Podcasts for Machine Knitters Episode 6  <Right Click & Save Target as for the podcast! In this episode the Marine Afghan is interrupted for emergency Pink Hoodie gift knitting.  There is a bonus for you all with that.  I made a video of the e-wrap cast on for double beds.  I found the technique in a booklet called  “Alter It! Button It! Zip It!” by Mary Anne Oger.  I love it!  This doesn’t flare like some of the other cast on methods.  In the same 4 minute video I knit the ribbing and utilize my transfer carriage to return to single bed knitting.  Extra neat because it works perfectly.  I have not had problems with this transfer carriage as some people have described on other makes etc.    However this is a silent film, SORRY!  I was listening to copyrighted music and … singing away.  Which would have caused every single one of you to turn off your computers never to return to them again.  I also would probably get called on my taste in music and for royalties… or maybe they’d pay me never to sing along with them again.  Heh he he.  Not going to risk it either way.  Oh the song was Blame it on the Rain.I talk about my recent acquisitions of a couple of Knitting Magazines and discuss the pros and cons of a few.  I love them all and can’t find anything negative to say about any of the presently available publications.  My husband and daughter comment on the Pink Hoodie.

I also have a few folks lined up as guests for future podcasts.  I bet you are looking forward to that.  Listening to
me blather on for 1/2 an hour is going to get boring real fast.   It will be much more fun talking to others.  You can leave voice messages on yahoo messenger if you’d like.  If you don’t know my ID you can click on the handy dandy link right underneath the map on the right hand side of the site.  I can incorporate those messages into the podcasts.  As long as the messages are “clean and airable” you can be part of the podcasts too!.
Until next time!

Very neat video. This is the first time I have seen that transfer carriage used. Oh and there is music and I could from time to time hear you singing along.

Your machine ribber moves like a dream. I have had so much trouble with mine. I suppose its the alignment, its so hard to push across and then drops stitches after the initial caste one rows have been completed.
I don’t have a tranfer carriage but would love to just be able to use the ribber!
