I owe! I Know!
By isrbrown. Filed in Machine Knitting, MK World Live, Patterns, Podcasts, Projects |ACK! Its been crazy busy. Not to mention frustrating! ANYWAY I had a bunch of stuff I’d been working on for the podcast. Through a series of unfortunate events they have all had to be re-done! Don’t cry for me. I’ve shed my own tears of frustration. All is looking up and patience has been your virtue. Here is a small reward. Not for everyone but it is fast fun and easily done.
There is a pattern by Sarah Coates on the Northtipton website called The 14 Minute Slippers or Lined Slippers Pattern for Bulky machines. Wonderful pattern, and if you have a Bulky you should try it out lined or unlined my kids and grand kids LOVE the slippers made from this pattern. The pattern & video being provided here is for Mid-Gauge machines and only for babies it is specifically written for Silver Reed/Singer machines without abbreviations. Everyone should read their patterns fully before starting a pattern but with this episode you get VIDEO! Stay tuned! I’ve got more coming!
Here is the pattern in PDF format: Baby Footie Stashbuster

Hi Alysha,
Do you have pop ups blocked? I’ve set my pop up blocker to accept pop ups from this site. So I don’t generally have a problem here. There are NO advertisements on the MK World Live site other than those links that I’ve placed on it. SO you could try turning off your pop up blocker this time and or permanently. I think most folks were getting the podcasts via iTunes. I just tried it via download and it did its thing without a problem. I’d need more info on your browser in order to really trouble shoot your problem. I’ll contact you privately.

I finally managed to download the video. I’ve made slippers like this before but didn’t understand the written directions about the side sts from the first row. I couldn’t “see” it until I saw the video. That is a great idea for helping to close up the slipper. Thank you!
